Terms, kept short

The simple rules for using Foldline. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

The agreement

By signing in to Foldline you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. Foldline is made and run by Istiak ("we"). If you do not agree, please do not use Foldline.

What Foldline is

Foldline is a free, private reading tracker. We work hard to keep it running well, but it is provided as is, without guarantees that it will always be available or free of bugs.

Features may change as Foldline grows. We will not take away your ability to export your data.

Your account

You sign in with your Google account and are responsible for keeping it secure. You need to be at least 13 years old to use Foldline.

One person per account, please.

Your content stays yours

The books, notes and progress you add belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Foldline for you. We claim no other rights over them.

Fair use

Please do not misuse Foldline: no attempts to break in, overload or scrape the service, no access to other people's accounts, and nothing illegal.

We may suspend an account that seriously breaks these rules, and we will tell you why when we can.

Leaving

You can stop using Foldline at any time and ask us to delete your account and data. If Foldline ever shuts down, we will give you notice and time to export everything.

Liability

Foldline is a free service. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost data or damages arising from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and let you know inside Foldline before it takes effect.
